John A. McEwan - Owner/Chairman

TAG was founded in 1984 by John A. McEwan, MSEE, who is the company’s Owner and Chairman. In 1976 he graduated from the US Naval Academy with a BS in Electrical Engineering then served at sea. He directly supported the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Current Action Center of the National Military Command Center. In 1985 he received his MS in Electrical Engineering (Optical Computing) from the University of Maryland while assigned to the US Naval Research Laboratory. He adopted the TAG Ball as a schematic representation of forward thinking and innovation, as the symbol for TAG. It acts as a constant reminder that even the smallest of ideas can have a huge impact. Since our humble beginnings as IT innovators, TAG is at the forefront of developing IT solutions for specific military requirements. TAG is also pioneering customer service experiences by placing the customer in direct contact to John, who is available to all customers 24/7.

Jim S. McEwan - President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

TAG’s executive management team is headed by James S. McEwan, who is the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). While working in the automotive industry, he served on several Finance and Marketing boards for Mazda, SAAB, General Motors and Subaru of America. Jim’s in-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering has propelled TAG as a leader in state-of-the-art information technology solutions for the defense industry.
