Jim S. McEwan
President and Chief Executive Officer
Jim S. McEwan joined TAG in 1995. As President and CEO, Jim is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company.
Prior to joining TAG, Jim held several key management roles for Browns Automotive Group, including President and General Manager, and Vice President of Finance and Leasing. While working in the automotive industry, Jim served on several Finance and Marketing boards for Mazda, SAAB, General Motors and Subaru of America.
Jim’s in depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering has established TAG as a leader in state of the art information technology solutions for the defense industry. Jim’s visionary leadership has been the driving force for TAG’s tremendous growth in the last ten years. Jim studied Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and serves on TAG's Board of Directors.
Ann Dominick
Vice President, Operations
Ann joined TAG in February 2009 as Vice President of Operations. Ann is responsible for Accounting, Human Resources, Contracts, and other operational areas.
Prior to joining TAG, Ann was Chief Financial Officer at The Spectrum Group, where she was responsible for Accounting, Financial Reporting, Security and Human Resources. Other prior positions include Vice President and Controller at MPRI, a subsidiary of L-3 Communications, and Director of Finance at MCI, now Verizon.
Ann is a CPA licensed in Virginia. She earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Smith College.
Trevor Landon
Vice President, Research & Development
Trevor joined TAG in January 2004 as Director of Engineering Operations and was promoted to Director of Advanced Technologies in April 2006. Trevor is responsible for R&D, including advanced engineering concepts and design.
Prior to joining TAG, Trevor was Director of Engineering at SteelCloud, where he led the development of a family of re-usable PC-based security appliances. In his eight years as a Section Manager at Acterna Corporation, Trevor headed a team of engineers in the design and development of several telecommunications products. In addition to his expertise in designing systems that meet significant thermal challenges, other areas of Trevor’s technical proficiency include custom embedded communication systems and solutions and high performance computer architectures.
Trevor has co-authored several published articles on electrical engineering issues. Trevor earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, at the University of Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (with Honors) from Lafayette College. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Peter Sarman
Vice President, Engineering Operations
Peter Sarman joined TAG in January 2008. Peter is responsible for management of the engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and materials departments.
Prior to joining TAG, Peter managed teams of engineers and computer scientists in developing software for AOL Video and AOL Search. Peter also has served in senior engineering positions at SAIC and at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division where he developed critical Low-Observable materials and systems.
Peter has co-authored numerous published articles on materials science and Low-Observable technologies and has been awarded several patents. Peter earned a Master of Science in Physics and a Bachelors of Science in Materials Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA.
Paul Casto
Director, Engineering
Paul Casto joined TAG in March 2006. Paul is responsible for management of the engineering department including all Design & Development and Analysis & Testing. He is experienced in the design and development of rugged computer equipment for use in harsh environments. He has past experience in several Computer Aided Design (CAD) software packages, thermal and mechanical analysis, environmental testing and several different part fabrication techniques.
Prior to joining TAG, Paul worked as a Product Design Engineer for SAIC. He managed the design of new and existing rugged products from initial concept to customer delivery and support. Paul trained and educated new employees on standard engineering procedures. Paul received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA.
Robert Pretty
Director, Manufacturing
Robert Pretty joined TAG in September 2005. Robert is responsible for reviewing new product designs and working with the design engineering team to ensure that new products are producible within existing assembly environment as well as supporting Production with build instructions, tooling, and troubleshooting design issues that affect production. Robert co-designed TAG’s current production floor layout which consists of sub-assembly/test area, standard work benches, ball transfer work benches, and a conveyor line; all of which have been laid out for cellular manufacturing.
Prior to joining TAG, Robert was an Electrical Designer for CAD Star International. As a contractor at Rockwell Collins, Robert worked with the electrical engineering group to design portions of a Maintenance Simulator for the Navy’s E-2C Hawkeye radar patrol plane. Robert also served as a CAD/CAM Designer for MCL Industries where he drafted electrical schematics using AutoCAD programs as well as designing PCB layouts, electrical panels for CNC machines, and cable harnesses using various CAD programs.
Wayne DeBerry
Director, Staffing Solutions
Wayne joined TAG in 2003, bringing his entrepreneurial spirit along with 25 years of business management/development, technical services and ownership experience.
As Director of the Staffing Solutions Division, Wayne is responsible for new business development, staffing strategies and functionalities which include; program implementation and management infrastructure growth and expansion. In addition, he is responsible for developing cooperative and strategic business relationships with current and prospective clients.
Prior to joining TAG, Wayne served in the US Navy as an Avionics Technician. After serving his country; Wayne joined Honeywell Inc, holding a variety of positions with increasing responsibilities. Wayne later founded an IT staffing company, LCC Companies, in Scottsdale, Arizona. LCC Companies provided its clients with information technology solutions, staffing services, and business process services in both the Federal Government and commercial industries.
Wayne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Chapman University, Orange California.
