TAG has been selected by General Dynamics C4 Systems (Taunton, MA) to design and manufacture rugged tactical servers for the US Marine Corps' Tactical Data Network (TDN). Tag's 2000-NI server will be integrated into a HMMWV shelter for battlefield deployment.

TAG will provide more than 500 2U (3.5") rack-mounted modified COTS servers for the program. The 2000-NI server features eight front-mounted peripherals, which gives the system maximum versatility in the field. Modular construction allows easy sparing and upgradeability while deployed. Each rugged server is designed to meet MIL-STD 167 and 810 for shock/vibration and temperature extremes. Tag's patented cooling technology and rugged design enables their servers to perform in harsh climes including desert operations.

The TDN complements the Marine Corps' existing Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) communications infrastructure. TDN is part of the Data Distribution System that provides classified and unclassified data communications to manage and support strategic and tactical battlefield communications systems worldwide.
