SSR-128 - Procedure for Flushing RAID Cache
Lost Delayed Write Error

"Lost Delayed Write Errors” on the SSR-128 can be encountered during file transfer, between the host and RAID system.

1. Check Cables, all external host cables should be less than 3 feet.

- Make sure no pins on the external connectors are bent

2. Check Host Adapter, make sure transfer rate is set to no greater than 20

3. Check Controller Configuration, in RAIDFX choose “Configuration” from the main menu. Go to “Advanced Functions” and select “Disk Side Parameters”. Make sure transfer rate is set to 10mhz for both channels.

4. Check Your Software settings. These errors can be caused by the software that you using to transfer your data.

5. Flush RAID Cache

- Power host and RAID unit down
- Unlock controller and remove controller card
- Remove jumper J2 from Battery Backup Module
- Remove memory SIMM’s and reseat memory
- Place J2 jumper back
- Lock Controller Card back into place
- Lock controller and reboot system (unit 2 first and then unit 1)

6. Check your NTFS Partition, if the problem persists; likely, there is a corrupt NTFS partition. You will need to back up your data and reformat the partition.

- Go to Disk Administrator and delete the partition
- Reboot the machine
- Recreate and format a new partition
