Processor Retest

Question:

I received a processor failure while the machine was booting up and it won’t let me into the operating system. Can this be resolved without sending the machine to TAG?

Answer:

This problem is usually caused by a dirty power source. It can usually be resolved very easily without sending the machine in to TAG’s facility. During boot up you will want to hit the F2 key in order to enter the CMOS settings. You will then want to highlight the processor field in the main menu and hit the Enter key. You will then want to highlight the processor retest field and hit the Enter key. You will be given two choices here, yes or no. Highlight the yes key and hit enter. Once this has been done you will then need to hit the F10 key to save the changes and reboot your machine. Upon reboot the error should be cleared and allow you into the operating system.
