Dulles, Virginia — October 18, 2017
Technology Advancement Group®, Inc. (TAG®) appointed Trevor Landon to the new position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective immediately.
As CTO, Mr. Landon assumes responsibility for overseeing all technical aspects of the company, maximizing the use of technological resources to attain TAG’s established strategic goals.
TAG’s Chairman John McEwan: “I started TAG 34 years ago by building computers that were powerfully unique and innovative. By the time Mr. Landon joined TAG 20 years later, some of that had given way to producing ruggedized computer equipment in an increasingly commoditizing industry. Though he came aboard as our Chief Engineer, his forward-thinking perspective has catapulted TAG back into doing what it does best; innovating technological solutions for a demanding world.”
TAG’s President / CEO Jim McEwan: “It is with much pride that we welcome Mr. Landon’s promotion to TAG’s Chief of Technology, a title that is well overdue.”
Mr. Landon has more than 25 years of engineering experience leading electrical, mechanical, thermal, systems, software, and production engineers in creating new solutions for tactical IT, telecommunications, and information security applications. Trevor has extensive knowledge of GNSS systems with an emphasis on PNT Assurance, and has architected multiple precision GNSS products. Prior to joining TAG in 2004, Trevor was Director of Engineering at SteelCloud, where he led the development of a family of re-usable PC-based security appliances. In his eight years as a Section Manager at Acterna Corporation, Trevor headed a team of engineers in the design and development of several telecommunications products. Trevor completed the course work for a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, at the University of Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (with Honors) from Lafayette College.
Mr. Landon’s leadership and expertise is critical to TAG’s leadership team as we continue to advance our strategic mission by developing military products that exceed all expectations.
